Unsigned leaves usually have pencilled signatures and missignings are similarly corrected (except P3 for Q3 and X3 for T3). With label of Battle Abbey (seat of the Dukes of Cleveland) on front pastedown. Note by Lord Rosebery, initialled A. P[?]., records the presentation of the book to his stepfather, the 7th Duke of Cleveland, and his own recovery of it at the sale (of Battle Abbey), June 1902.
