Description

Photograph album containing photographs of early Sydney, aboriginal camps, pre-war battle ships. Also photographs of the Western Front, including Ypres, Spoilbank and Ridgewood. Also contains loose photographs and newspaper cuttings, and papers.

Biography or history

Stephen, A C A (?-1977). Private, 3rd Battalion, AIF (Australian Imperial Force). Emigrated from Scotland to Sydney, Australia in 1914; enlisted on the outbreak of war in 1914. First World War service on Western Front.
