Description

By Urbain Chevreau, in part translated and imitated from works by Joseph Hall and Johannes van Meurs.


"Livre premier" is a translation of Hall's "Characters of vertues and vices"; "Livre second" is an imitation of Johannes van Meurs' "De gloria"; the last chapter of "Livre troisieme" is the final chapter of Hall's "Heaven upon earth".


Pages 184 and 331 misnumbered 182 and 33.
