An abridged translation, by John Stevens, of the Latin work in 3 volumes, originally published under the joint authorship of R. Dodsworth and Sir W. Dugdale, London, 1655-73. A continuation, in 2 volumes, was published by J. Stevens, London, 1722-23, under title: The history of the antient abbeys, monasteries, hospitals, cathedral and collegiate churches. Being two additional volumes to Sir William Dugdale's Monasticon anglicanum.
Added t.-p., engraved which reads: Dugdale's Monasticon anglicanum translated into English with considerable additions.
