Extra-illustrated with 120 portraits, views, etc. Bound in at the end is a copy of John Murray's privately printed pamphlet of 1824: 'Notes on Captain Medwin's Conversations of Lord Byron', pp. 15 [all mounted]. Inserted are proof sheets, with MS. corrections, of pp. 208-9, and 215-220, and of pp. 264-270, containing The Irish Avatara, with a MS. transcript of the lines which refer to George IV, which were suppressed. The volume also contains 4 lines in MS. from The age of bronze , with corrections in Byron's hand MS. copy of Medwin's Letter to J.C. Hobhouse in answer to his attack in the Westmister review warrants and bills of exchange signed by John, Juliana, Richard and William Byron and the following autograph letters:- John Byron to Lord Anson, 1747.
