Description
Half title: Thrasibule à Leucippe.
Attributed to Fréret in the Avis, but authorship much discussed. ESTC (RLIN) attributes to the baron d'Holbach, but this attribution is refuted by J. Vercruysse, Holbach, p. 38-39, who attributes the work to Fréret. There is a long discussion of the question and conclusion in favor of Fréret in the critical ed. of the Lettre by Sergio Landucci (Florence: 1986) p. 15-73.
According to ESTC (RLIN) T168107 the place of publication is false and the work is possibly printed in the Netherlands. Date from ESTC (RLIN).
Includes La Moïsade (p. 234-252), also generally attributed to Fréret.
ESTC (RLIN) T168107.
