Some volumes have half-title: "Sammlung der poetischen und prosaischen Schriften ausländische schöner Geister. Die Schriften des Willhelm Shakespear".
Translated by Joh. Joach. Eschenburg. Some of the plays are accompanied by critical essays, presumably by Eschenburg. He is named at all only in Bd.1-3.
Some volumes have variant imprint: Mannheim; or, (Bd.6): Mannheim, und Strasburg, and at the end a colophon: "Frankenthal: gedruckt bey Ludwig Bernhard Friedrich Gegel" (with the exception of Bd.20).
