Description

This translation of the Vulgate New Testament, known as the Port Royal version, was begun by Antoine le Maistre, revised and completed by Isaac-Louis le Maistre, and given a final revision by Antoine Arnauld, Pierre Nicole, and other Port Royalists. Cf. British and Foreign Bible Society. Historical catalogue (Darlow & Moule).


Vol. 2 has special t.p.: Les Epistres de S. Paul. Les Epistres canoniques. L'Apocalypse. A Mons, Chez Gaspart [sic] Migeot, en la ruë de la Chausée, à l'enseigne des trois Vertus. M DC LXVII.
