First edition: the 2d edition of same date and with same number of pages is distinguished by tail-pieces at p. 4, 535, and last page of index; the 3d edition of same date has 508 p. and 9 unnumbered leaves; the last edition is considered the best. Quoted in Pieters, Annales, p. 94, under title: Respublica Helvetiorum. cf. Willems, Les Elzevier, 1880, no. 278, and Berghman's Suppl., 1897, no. 159.
Parts I-III (p. 5-25) have running title "Helvetiæ descriptio"; pt. IV (p. 26-484) "De rep. Helvetior. liber primvs[-secvndvs]"; pt. V (p. 485-535) "Descriptio Helvetiæ". British Museum Catalogue quotes a copy with "running title throughout": Helvetiae descriptio.
