Issued as a companion to T. D. Whittaker's Loidis and Elmete (1816). Boyne says that the two works form "what is commonly called the 'History of Leeds'".
Additional description
Large paper copy; Lacks pp. 5-12 of "Appendix"; the plates are disarranged, and include two belonging to Whitaker's "Loidis and Elmete"; the frontispiece (portrait of Thoresby), of a later edition of 1865, has been bound as frontispiece to the correspondingly bound copy of "Loidis and Elmete". The coats of arms have been tinted. Lettered: TOPOGRAPHY OF LEEDS & DISTRICT VOL. II
