Each vol. and part has special t.p.; vol. 1, pt. 1 has both general and special t.p.

The translator is apparently in error in connecting the abbé Vertot with this work. According to Barbier, Querard, Bibliothèque Nationale, and British Museum, it was written by L.E. Dupin, and completed and published by J. de Vayrac. Cf. also the dedication (signed Vairac).
