"The philosophy of Epictetus" (p. [57]-118) and "The tablet of Cebes or, The embleme of humane life" (p. [119]-170) have special half-titles.


The "tablet", probably of 1st cent. A.D. "makes no pretence to be by" Cebes; ascribed to him by a mere error -- Oxf. Class. Dict.
