Copy of 'The Poet Speaks: A Series of Twenty Recorded Interviews with Contemporary Poets', issued by the British Council, Recorded Sound Section, November 1963. Comprises transcriptions of interviews conducted by Peter Orr in the late 1950s/early 1960s for the British Council. Includes interviews with Vernon Watkins, Roy Fuller, Peter Redgrove, Donald Davie, Charles Tomlinson, Herbert Read, John Lehmann, James Reeves, Richard Murphy, Stevie Smith, Rex Warner, William Force Stead, Carl Frederick Prytz, Anthony Thwaite, Bernard Spencer, Ted Hughes, Thomas Kinsella, Sylvia Plath, Ronald Bottrall and Michael Baldwin.
