Vols. 1-4 compiled by William Oldys, Samuel Johnson and Michael Maittaire for Thomas Osborne, who purchased the printed books from Lord Oxford's library.
Vol. 5, an enumeration of Osborne's unsold stock, has title: Catalogus bibliothecae Harleianae, or, A catalogue of the remaining part of the library of the late Earl of Oxford... which will begin to be sold ... at T. Osborne's ... on the twenty second day of April, 1745.
