Description
This series comprises a single file of papers relating to 'Poets in Public', a group founded in May 1963, and commissioned to present a series of poetry concerts at the 1965 Edinburgh Festival. Includes 24 items of correspondence covering the years 1965-1966, alongside a statement of income and expenditure, background information and a proposal for a Poetry Secretariat. The correspondence includes letters to and from George Wightman (Honorary Secretary of Poets in Public), including correspondence with Charles Osborne/the Arts Council.
