- Eigg: chiefly ms notes (52 ff.), with 1 letter to Crossley-Holland from Michael Emmerson [ca. 1971]
- Hoy: ms notes (54 ff.); printed material, mainly consisting of photocopied extracts (33 ff.); 1 bill and 1 press cutting
- Inishmore: 45 ff., consisting chiefly of ms notes; also magazine and press cuttings, and 1 letter from Michael Gill to Crossley-Holland (5 May 1970)
- Lindisfarne: ms notes and printed material (65 ff.), including (photocopied) extracts from: a) Garth W. Dunleavy, Colum?s Other Island: the Irish at Lindisfarne (Madison: University of Wisconsin, 1960); b) Richard Perry, A Naturalist on Lindisfarne (London: Lindsay Drummond, 1946)
