This file contains correspondence and other papers relating to the publication of 'Long Tom and the Dead Hand', grouped as follows:
- Papers marked Deutsch, including 29 items of correspondence between publishers André Deutsch, and Crossley-Holland (18 Dec 1990-3 Aug 1992), with memorandum of agreement (30 April 1991)
- Papers marked Agent, comprising 3 letters and a page of ms notes from Crossley-Holland's agents, Rogers, Coleridge & White (18 March-3 June 1991)
- Papers marked Publicity etc., including a photocopied review of Long Tom from the Times Literary Supplement (15 May 1992), and correspondence from magazines (2 letters; 14 Jan 1991 - 6 March 1992)
- Correspondence marked Personal: 21 letters (23 April 1987 - 20 Dec 1992), including 2 letters from Shirley Felts accompanied by examples of her watercolour illustrations
- Group of papers marked Material relating to Anglia Series 1988-9, including a copy of the dust jacket for Long Tom, a ts proposal outline (12 ff.) and ms notes on the plot (1 f.)
- Anglia TV Correspondence, comprising 20 items of correspondence between Crossley-Holland and Paul Jordan at Anglia Television (16 Dec 1987 - 22 Jan 1989)
- Group of papers marked Material for Series, with cuttings and ms notes on local myths and folk tales (37 ff.), and 2 letters between Crossley-Holland and Harriet Godfrey accompanied by clippings concerning Black Dog folktales in Lincolnshire (12-15 March 1987).
