Description
These folders contains items relating to the Macmillan edition of Crossley-Holland's translation of 'Beowulf', published in 1968. Includes notes and comments by Peter Crossley-Holland and Mario Rinvolucri (ts and ms), with 4 letters from Rinvolucri (10 Dec 1967-16 April 1968) and items photocopied from a printed work; a draft ts with ms corrections marked integrated version(147 ff.); a draft ts with ms corrections (82 ff.); a ts for the printers with ms corrections and proofs of drawings (143 ff.); page proofs with suggestions in ms in a hand other than Crossley-Holland's ([i]-xiii, 150 pp.); and an uncorrected proof copy ([i]-xiv, 150 pp.); revised proof copy.
