5 items of correspondence between Geoffrey Hill and correspondents at the Poetry Society. Includes 3 typescript letters from Brian G. Mitchell to Hill (15 May 1981 - 8 July 1981; includes letters signed on Mitchell's behalf), and 1 cc typescript letter from Hill to Mitchell regarding a reading by Hill at the National Poetry Centre on 2 July 1981); and 1 typescript letter from Andrew Motion as Editor of the 'Poetry Review' to Hill (8 October 1981).Held with this correspondence is 1 typescript letter to Hill from the Publicity Department at André Deutsch (29 March 1983) referring to a party at the Poetry Society to mark the publication of 'The Mystery of the Charity of Charles Péguy', accompanied by Hill's cc typescript suggested list of guests and a suggested list of guest from Deutsch with Hill's ms annotations.
