This file contains a lecture and class materials relating to Hill's teaching on Hobbes, in particular as part of the course The 'Dissentient Voices' in British and American Poetry, Drama and Moral Thought at Cambridge University. Includes:

- typescript lecture Hobbes, heavily annotated and revised, with pages numbered ff. 29-56 (appears to be a reworking of an older, longer lecture);

- 2 ff ms notes headed Hobbes, 1 f ms notes headed Clarendon, 3 ff ms notes;

- photocopied bibliography with Hill's ms note P.K.'s bibliography ? PK and date 20 April 95 (ff 94-101);

- photocopied excerpt from chapter XVIII of Hobbes's De Cive;

- photocopied excerpt from Hobbes's Answer to the Preface;

- photocopied excerpt from Thomas Sprat's History of the Royal Society;

- photocopied typescript excerpts from Hobbes's Leviathan (1651);

- photocopied ms definitions;

- photocopied excerpts from a bookseller's catalogue referring to editions of Hobbes's De Cive and Leviathan;

- photocopies of Thomas Hobbes' letter referring to Godolphin (1651);

- photocopies of a typescript of Godolphin's poem Lord when the wise men came from farr ..., one copy with Hill's ms annotations.Also held in this file are 2 reports on a PhD thesis titled 'The 'Mores' of the Great Tew' (4 ff).
