Bindings

The four volumes have eighteenth-century bindings of half sheepskin and brown paper over pasteboard. The paper is surface-coated and sprinkled with black ink. The spines have five raised bands with pared light brown lettering pieces in the second panels. The author's name and title of the work are stamped in black on each: volume 1: D'Antonini Prima pars summæ; volume 2: D'Antonini Secunda pars summæ; volume 3: D'Antonini Tertis pars summæ; volume 4: D'Antonini Quarta pars summæ. There is much wear to the boards and the spines of each book, especially at the head and tail revealing the endbands. At the base of each spine are the remains of a paper label with a library number written in ink manuscript, now indistinct, but likely to match the number written in black ink manuscript on the recto of the front free endpaper in each volume. The leaf edges are sprinkled red. Volume 1 - Size: 435 x 320mm. Leaf size: 418 x 300mm. Volume 2 - Size: 438 x 325mm. Leaf size: 418 x 300mm. Volume 3
- Size: 440 x 330mm. Leaf size: 420 x 300mm. Volume 4 - Size: 442 x 325mm. Leaf size: 420 x 300mm.
