Use of Italian: Names of the symbolic foods for the ceremonial evening meal of Rosh ha-Shanah (traditional in Sephardic and Mizrahi rite) are written in Italian in Latin script next to the blessings.

1. folios 1r–4v: שיר שנוהגים לאמרו בערב שבת קדש אחר מנחה: לאל עולם נתנה by Mordekhai Dato; relates to the Thirteen Principles of Faith (י׳׳ג עיקרים).
2. folios 5r–10v: סדר סליחות שנוהגים לומר בק"ק פיטיליאנו י׳׳ץ מראש חדש אלול עד יום הכפור אחר חזרת עמידה של מנחה.
3. folios 11r–16v: סדר התרת נדרים שנוהגו לעשות פה ק"ק פיטיליאנו י׳׳ץ בערב ראש השנה ויום הכפור.
4. folios 17r–18r: סדר סעודת ליל ראש השנה ; the Italian names of the symbolic foods are written in Latin script next to the blessings.
5. folios 18v–24v: [סדר התקיעות על דרך הקבלה].
6. folios 25r–38v: סדר ותשליך, including רבונו של עולם בהעלותנו על לבבנו רוב from Sefer Tsiporen shamir (צפורן שמיר) (folios 31–37) by חײם יוסף דוד אזולאי.

8. folios 40v–41v: פזמון שואמרים קודם נעילה: אל נורא עלילה.

Ruling: frame-ruled in pencil; 14 horizontal lines, with additional vertical lines in some folios.
Number of lines: 14 lines with poetic spacing.

Binding
Quarter leather bound with marbled paper over paste-boards; brown leather spine is gilt-embossed with several decorations, and gilt-lettered with "MS Roth 47" by conservation.
